JOHN EDWIN CARR

   CARRSVILLE - A funeral service for John Edwin Carr, 78, was held Friday 
at 3 p.m. in Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield by the Rev. Donald Trump. 
Burial was in Colosse Baptist Church cemetery.

   Pallbearers were: Edwin Byrum, Bryant DeJarnett, Larry Darden, G.D. Carr, 
Jr., David Lowe and Mark Carr.

   Carr died Wednesday, Oct. 28, in DePaul Hospital in Norfolk.

   A lifelong resident and farmer of the Carrsville community, he was the 
husband of Mrs. Annie Belle Rhodes Carr.  He was a member of Colosse Baptist 
Church.

   Other survivors include a sister, Clara C. Barber of Norfolk; two brothers, 
S.C. Carr and G.D. Carr Sr. of Virginia Beach.
