CARR, 78, BURIED AUG. 5TH Junius Wellons Carr, 78, well known farmer of the Walters community of Isle of Wight County, died August 4th at Norfolk General Hospital after an illness of several weeks. He was the son of the late Matthew and Christine* Joyner Carr, of Isle of Wight County, and was a member of the Mt. Carmel Christian Church where he served for many years. Carr is survived by three sons, Will W. Carr, Walter and Alvie Lee Carr, Portsmouth; three grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Thursday at 3 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Christian Church conducted by the Rev. T. Fred Wright. Burial was in the church cemetery. ****************************************************************************** JUNIUS WELLONS CARR Junius Wellons Carr, 78, a prosperous farmer residing in the Walters community in Isle of Wight County, died Wednesday morning, August 4, at Norfolk General Hospital after an illness of several weeks. He was the son of the late Matthew and Christine* Joyner Carr of Isle of Wight County, and a member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church, in which he served faithfully for many years. Surviving his are two sons, Will W. Carr of Walters and Alvie Lee Carr of Portsmouth; three grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. T. Fred Wright at Mt. Carmel Christian Church on Thursday afternoon at three o'clock, followed by burial in the church cemetery.
