LILLIE DUKE CARR

   NEWPORT NEWS - A funeral service for Lillie Duke Carr, 86, was held 
at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Al 
Crockett and Dr. R. Furman Kenny.  Peninsula Funeral Home was in charge.

   Mrs. Carr died Sunday in a hospital.

   A native of Isle of Wight County, she was the widow of Henry Carr. 
She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church.

   Survivors include a son, James M. Carr of Gates County, N.C.; six 
grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
