Mrs. Lydia Carr Buried Sunday 

  Mrs. Lydia Alice Carr, 67 years, widow of George Thomas Carr, of Isle of 
Wight County, died Friday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Whitfield, 
of Franklin, after an illness of many months.  She was a member of Windsor 
Baptist Church, where she served faithfully until her health failed many 
months ago.  Surviving her are one daughter, Mrs. J.L. Whitfield, of 
Franklin; one son, W.T. Carr, of Windsor; one sister, Mrs. K.H. Raiford, of 
Suffolk; five grandchildren and a host of friends. 

  Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Windsor 
Baptist Church by Rev. W.V. Carroll assisted by Rev. J.B. Isom of Courtland. 
Interment was in Windsor Cemetery.

They m. 1 May 1902 in Isle of Wight Co. (#45); IoW. M.Reg. erroneously gives 
   dt/o William & Martha BEATON. 

Rather, her mother was Christian (BEALE) BEATON, who d. 15 Jun 1918 in 
   Southampton Co., & was buried near Sedley; site not known (Nov 2022) 
   to the Southampton County Historical Society {SCHS} Cemetery Project.
