A native of Isle of Wight County and an Army veteran of World War II, he was the son of the late John Thomas and Mrs. Lillie Winborne Carr. Surviving are four sisters, Idonia C. Bradshaw, Mrs. Catherine C. Darden, Mrs. Robert L. Johnson, all of Carrsville, and Mrs. Lillie C. Darden of Norfolk; two brothers, Pressley Staley Carr of Zuni and Eugene McCawley of Windsor. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Antioch Christian Church Cemetery by Dr. R.E. Brittle. The funeral procession will leave I.O. Hill and Company Funeral Home Saturday at 1:15 p.m. The family will be at the home of Mrs. Robert L.
