She was the widow of Claude C. Carr and daughter of Thomas J. and Mrs. Dora Bradshaw Carr of Isle of Wight County. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church and of the Maccabee Association. Survivors include a son, Fletcher Carr of Roanoke; two sisters, Mrs. W.W. Carr of Walters and Mrs. Clyde Hall of Carrsville; five brothers, Willie Carr and J.A. Carr of Walters, Fenton Carr of Zuni, Crawley Carr of Holland and Bradford Carr of Windsor. A funeral service was conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Sutton of Mt. Carmel Christian church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Jasper Carr, Lonnie Carr, Jimmy Joyner, Willard Duke, A.L. Duck Jr. and Richard Rose.
