A member of Colosse Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Jacob A. and Mrs. Mattie Coggin Turner. Besides her husband she is survived by her stepmother, Mrs. Florida Turner of Carrsville; one brother, Letcher Turner of Phoebus; two half-sisters, Mrs. Floyd Carr of Suffolk and Mrs. Arthur Harrell of Norfolk; two half-brothers, Rady Turner and Eldridge Turner, both of Zuni; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted from the chapel of W.J.M. Holland & Sons on Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock by Rev. Donald Trump, Pastor of Colosse Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Chester Carr, J.L. Carr, Edward Lankford, Loftin Rhodes, J. Leonard Rose, Sr., Melvin Spivey and John Stephens and J.T. Carr. Mary Louise (TURNER; Mrs. John H.)
