Carr October 25 and took their only son, Ray Coggin aged 7 years and six months. Ray had only been sick about the days. Dr. Harrell from Lakeview hospital was with him during his last hours and all that could be done was done for him. Recovery but all in vain, as God saw best to take him home with him. He was a unusually bright boy of that tender age and was loved by all who knew him. He leaves to mourn his loss a heart-broken mother and father, and three sisters, Mrs. Lonnie Carr, Misses Odell and Leather Carr, and grandparents and a host of other relative and friends. The funeral services were conducted by the pastor, Rev. J.S. Cobb, of Colosse church, on Friday afternoon, where the remains were laid to rest in Colosse cemetery to await the resurrection morn. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. His Sunday school classmates carried flowers behind the little casket, who are boys and girls of about his age. "We Loved him, Oh, Yes, we loved But angels loved him more. Now they have sweetly called Ray To yonder's shining shore."
