"Ricky" Carr, 37, died Thursday, Dec. 6, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Norfolk. Mr. Carr was a native of Zuni. He was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church, Zuni. He was a 1970 graduate of Windsor High School and was a truckdriver and an employee of Farmers Service, Smithfield. Survivors include his wife, Mary Fowler Carr; a stepdaughter, Karl T. Renfroe of Zuni; two sons, Richard L. Carr Jr. of Zuni, and Jonathan Thomas Carr of Suffolk; his parents, Fred G. and Virginia Powell Carr of Zuni; three sisters, Peggy C. Frieze of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Debbie C. Braswell and Cynthia C. Goodman, both of Zuni; and a brother, Michael Thomas Carr of Orinda, California. Graveside services were held in Antioch Church Cemetery, Windsor, on Sunday, Dec. 9, at 3 p.m. officiated by the Rev. Steve Weed. Memorial donations may be made to the Bethany Presbyterian Church Building Fund or to the Windsor Volunteer Rescue Squad, Windsor, Virginia 23487.
