He served as a private in Co. F, 61st VA Infantry. He 1m. Mary "Polly" WHITEHEAD 22 Feb 1844 in Isle of Wight Co. She d. 4 Jul 1853 in Isle of Wight Co. He 2m. Anna (POWELL; widow of Everett) JOHNSON 8 Jan 1854 in Isle of Wight Co. He 3m. Mary Jane (VAUGHAN; widow of Jethro T.) JOYNER 3 Jun 1860 in Isle of Wight Co. She applied for a pension 23 May 1902, stating Solomon d. of indigestion. She d. 30 Jun 1904 and was buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suffolk.
