Carmel Christian Church. The Rev. Garland T. Moore, of Cradock, officiated, assisted by the Rev. O.D. Poythress of South Norfolk and the Rev. H.E. Crutchfield of Windsor. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Carr was the son of the late James and Rebecca English Carr and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary E. Carr; two sons, Julian and Lonnie Carr of Walters; a daughter, Mrs. Reba Gay of Walters; two brothers, James A. Carr, of Walters and W.E. Carr of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Nannie Blythe of Holland, and Mrs. Ella Bradshaw of Carrsville; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers were Elvin T. Whitley, John Bradshaw, Elisha Lankford, R.T Bowden, Otis V. Joyner, E.H. Johnson, Jesse T. Carr and Dr. J.G. Bradshaw.
