Samuel B. Carr, 82 Buried June 7th In Mt. Carmel Cemty. 

  Samuel B. Carr, 82, retired farmer of the Walters community died in his home 
early Tuesday, June 6, 1961 after a long illness. 

  He was the son of Robert Henry and Mrs. Sarah Jane Carr of Isle of Wight 
County.  He was a member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church. 

  Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Cora Lee Holland Carr; two daughters, Mrs. 
Mary Ann West of Ivor and Mrs. Shirley E. Brown of Windsor; four sons, Bonney 
H. Carr and James M. Carr of Walters, Robert Staley Carr of Smithfield and 
Alton Lee Joyner of Doswell; fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. 

  A funeral service was conducted in the Holland Funeral Chapel at 3 P.M. 
June 7 by the Rev. Ellis Clark, former pastor of Mt. Carmel Church.  Burial 
was in Mt. Carmel Church Cemetery.
