All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ THOMAS JOSEPH CARR Funeral services for Thomas Joseph Carr, 65, who died Thursday night, October 4, at Raiford Memorial Hospital after an illness of several days, were held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home, Rev. G.C. Crutchfield, pastor of Mt. Carmel Christian Church, and Rev. Jeff Monroe, pastor of Boaz Presbyterian Church, officiated. Mr. Carr, a well-known resident and farmer of the Carrsville community, was the son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Dora Bradshaw Carr of Isle of Wight County. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church, where he served for many years. Surviving him are five brothers, Bennie, Willie and Crawley Carr, all of Carrsville, Fenton Carr of Zuni and John Andrew Carr of Handsom; three sisters, Mrs. Maggie Carr and Mrs. W.W. Carr, both of Walters, and Mrs. Clyde Hall of Carrsville; and a number of nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers were John Edward Rose, Clayton Darden, Jasper Carr, Leon Carr, Tom Stephenson, Rufus Johnson, Willard Duke and Elmo Holland.
