A native of Isle of Wight County, he was a timekeeper for the Virginia State Highway Department for ten years. He was a son of Matthew William and Mrs. Mary Mumford [sic; Mountford*] Carr. He was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church, Zuni. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ada Lee Bailey Carr; three sons, T.M. Carr Jr., Fred G Carr, and Lawrence Bailey Carr; and six grandchildren all of Zuni. A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 2:30 pm in Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield, by Rev. Gerald Voye of Bethany Presbyterian Church and Rev. J.W. Horne of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church. Burial will be in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery near Windsor. ****************************************************************************** Thomas M.
