CROSS BURIED MONDAY Mrs. Ella Nurney Britt Cross, 64, died Saturday night at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Epps. She was the daughter of John Nathaniel Nurney and Mary Matilda Blanchard. Surviving are one son, W.B. Britt of Smithfield, Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Floyd Epps of Smithfield and Mrs. Lee Norris of Windsor; one brother, William (Bill) Nurney of Ivor; eleven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at the Roberts & Johnson Funeral Home Monday, June 5th at 3:30 o'clock with burial in the Mill Swamp Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. L.E. Holzbach. (IWCHS GSSTF #56) His D.Cert. #18826 (Windsor #17) gives b. 10 Apr 1884, d. 5 Aug 1924, sn/o Robert D. Cross & Rebecca Sanford, all b. Dinwiddie Co. Their daughter Aldora Rebecca (CROSS; Mrs. Floyd T.) EPPS, is buried in the Old Brick Church Cemetery, Bacons Castle, Surry Co.
