ELLA NURNEY BRITT CROSS 

MRS. E.N.B. CROSS BURIED MONDAY 

  Mrs. Ella Nurney Britt Cross, 64, died Saturday night at the home of her 
daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Epps.  She was the daughter of 
John Nathaniel Nurney and Mary Matilda Blanchard.

  Surviving are one son, W.B. Britt of Smithfield, Va.; two daughters, Mrs. 
Floyd Epps of Smithfield and Mrs. Lee Norris of Windsor; one brother, William 
(Bill) Nurney of Ivor; eleven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

  Funeral services were conducted at the Roberts & Johnson Funeral Home 
Monday, June 5th at 3:30 o'clock with burial in the Mill Swamp Cemetery, 
conducted by the Rev. L.E. Holzbach.

Middle name from record of second marriage, which gives m. 20 Jul 1910, 
   Dinwiddie Co.  (Ancestry.com "Virginia Marriages") 

Second husband Joseph buried with his father in 
   Central Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.  (IWCHS GSSTF #56) 
   His D.Cert. #18826 (Windsor #17) gives b. 10 Apr 1884, d. 5 Aug 1924, 
   sn/o Robert D. Cross & Rebecca Sanford, all b. Dinwiddie Co. 

Their daughter Aldora Rebecca (CROSS; Mrs. Floyd T.) EPPS, is buried in 
   the Old Brick Church Cemetery, Bacons Castle, Surry Co.
