ADDIE BELL CARTER DIED MONDAY EVENING Funeral services for Mrs. Addie Bell Carter, aged 42, wife of Trannie A. Carter of Smithfield, who died at Buxton hospital after a brief illness Monday evening were held at Eure Christian Church, Eure, N.C., at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial was in the family plot of the Church cemetery. The active pallbearers were H.M. Carter, M.K. Grice, J.B. Hutchinson, J.G. Martin, J.O. Greene, Burwood Greene, Jimmy Greene and Marion Greene. Mrs. Carter was a native of Gates County, N.C., living for a few years is Surry and moving from there to Smithfield. She was the daughter of Jonas Greene of Eure, N.C. and the late Mrs. Jones Greene. Besides her husband and father she is survived by her three daughters, Arretta, Gladys and Louise Carter and four sons, Willie, T.A., Jr., Rowell and Randolph of Smith, and four sisters, Mrs. W.D. Umphlette, of Norfolk, Mrs. A.E. Leake of Bridgeport, Conn., Mrs. Roy Bryant, of Tarboro, N.C., and Miss Aleys Greene, of Eure, N.C. and five brothers, J.O. Greene, Robert Lee Greene of Eure, N.C., Durwood Greene, of Tarboro, Jimmie Greene of Norfolk, Va., and Marvin Greene of Rocky Mount, and four nieces and nephews. Addie Bell (GREENE; Mrs. Trannie A.)
