All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ Mrs. Crumpler, 104, Retired Teacher Mrs. Annie Lula Crumpler, 104, a retired Isle of Wight public schools teacher and one of the oldest residents of the area, died Wednesday in a hospital. She lived with a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Henderson, of 714 Burksdale Road. She was the widow of Ocie O. Crumpler. Born in Isle of Wight County, she lived here for 63 years. She was a charter member of The Christian Temple. She was a 1901 graduate of the State Female Normal School of Farmville, now Longwood College. Other survivors include a son, Willard L. Crumpler of Richmond; three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Donald Smith of the Christian Temple and the Rev. Philip Kester of Oakdale Presbyterian Church. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, has charge.
