HOWARD SWANSON CRUMPLER 

Smithfield, Jan. 21 - Funeral rites for Howard Swanson Crumpler, 42, retired 
farmer who died in a Richmond hospital Thursday will be held at 1 p.m. 
Saturday at the graveside in St. Luke's Memorial Cemetery, Benn's Church. 
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Jenolla Gould Crumpler; wife, Mrs. Mary 
Ward Crumpler, of Carrollton; daughter Miss Mary Virginia Crumpler, of 
Smithfield; one son; three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Pleasants, of Smithfield; 
Miss Ogle Lee Crumpler, of Smithfield; Mrs. Arthur Hall, of Beverly Hills, 
W.Va, and three brothers, O.G., James S., and Joseph Crumpler, all of 
Smithfield. 

Howard Swanson CRUMPLER, of Carrollton, retired farmer, 
Southampton Co. native, d. 20 Jan 1949, Richmond, age 42, 
interred in St. Luke's Memorial Park Cemetery (unmarked?*), Benn's Church, 
   22 Jan 1949,
