KATHLEEN PARSONS DUCK 

  Kathleen Parsons Duck, 75, died Monday, July 31, 2000, in Suffolk. 

  She was born on Nov. 27, 1924, in Kentucky, the daughter of the late James 
and Lula Mae Warford Parsons.  She was a member of Mount Carmel Christian 
Church, Walters. 

  She is survived by her husband, Joseph Jackson Duck; two sons, James Jackson 
Duck Sr. of Smithfield and Thomas Roland Duck of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a sister, 
Pauline Parsons of Dayton, Ohio; two brothers, Marvin Parsons of Irvine, Ky., 
and Paul Parsons of Richmond, Ky.; three grandsons, James Jackson Duck Jr. and 
Michael Lee Duck, both of Smithfield and Christopher Stephen Duck of Dover, 
Del.; and six great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by two brothers, 
Marcum and Beverly Parsons. 

  A funeral will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Purviance Funeral Home, 
Wakefield.  Burial will be in Mount Carmel Church Cemetery, Walters.  The 
family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday 
before the service.
