Ollie Lee Duck Succumbs at 55 

  SMITHFIELD - Ollie Lee Duck, age 55, died early this morning at Louise Obici 
Memorial Hospital alter a long illness. 

  Mr. Duck, a native of Isle of Wight County, had lived in Smithfield for 
three years since retiring as an operator for the Virginia Transit Co. in 
Norfolk after 27 years of service. 

  He was the husband of the late Linda V. Duck of Norfolk, and is survived by 
his mother, Mrs. Sadie S. Duck, and a sister, Mrs. Elsie D. Rose, both of 
Smithfield; a stepson, Ashby Gornto of Norfolk; a nephew, Charles H. Rose, 
Jr., of Smithfield; and two step-grandchildren. 

  Mr. Duck was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church in Smithfield. 

  The funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock, Saturday, September 25, 
in the Chapel of the Bullock Funeral Home in Smithfield. 

  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk.

  Smithfield, September 23 - Ollie Lee Duck, 55, of Smithfield, died early 
today in Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk, after a long illness. 

  A native of Isle of Wight County, he had lived in Smithfield for three years 
since retiring as an operator for the Virginia Transit Company in Norfolk 
after 27 years of service.  He was a member of Trinity Methodist Church of 
Smithfield. 

  He was the husband of the late Linda V. Duck, of Norfolk. 

  Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Sadie S. Duck, and one sister, Mrs. Elsie D. 
Rose, both of Smithfield; one stepson, Ashby Gronto, of Norfolk; one nephew, 
Charles H. Rose, Jr., of Smithfield; and two step-grandsons. 

  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Bullock 
Funeral.  Burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk.

   (1891 - 1951).  They m. 6 Feb 1937 in Norfolk.
