Mr. Duck, a native of Isle of Wight County, had lived in Smithfield for three years since retiring as an operator for the Virginia Transit Co. in Norfolk after 27 years of service. He was the husband of the late Linda V. Duck of Norfolk, and is survived by his mother, Mrs. Sadie S. Duck, and a sister, Mrs. Elsie D. Rose, both of Smithfield; a stepson, Ashby Gornto of Norfolk; a nephew, Charles H. Rose, Jr., of Smithfield; and two step-grandchildren. Mr. Duck was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church in Smithfield. The funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock, Saturday, September 25, in the Chapel of the Bullock Funeral Home in Smithfield.
