Mr. Duck was a native of Isle of Wight County. He was retired from Newport News Shipbuilding. He was an Army veteran of World War II and past master of Smithfield Lodge No. 18, AF&AM. He was a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Lillian Bradshaw Duck; a son, Robert T. Duck of Smithfield; a daughter, Beatrice D. Huber of Wakefield; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A graveside service with Masonic rites will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Mount Carmel Church Cemetery, Walters, by the Rev. Dan E. Gray. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Isle of Wight Rescue Squad, Isle of Wight 23397. ****************************************************************************** Percy Lee Duck Percy Lee Duck, 67, died Thursday, March 22, at his residence. Mr. Duck was a native of Isle of Wight. He was a member of the Faith Freewill Baptist Church of Smithfield. He retired from Newport News Shipbuilding and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and Past Master of the Smithfield Lodge #18, AF & AM. He was the son of the late Percy T. and Mattie Bulls Duck. Survivors include his wife, Lillian Bradshaw Duck of Smithfield; a daughter, Beatrice D. Huber of Wakefield; a son, Robert T. Duck of Smithfield; three grandchildren, Sharon H. Atkins, Patricia H. Britt and Janet H. Cowling; and one great-grandchild, Carrie Elizabeth Atkins. A graveside service with Masonic Rites was held Saturday, March 24, at 11 a.m. at the Mount Carmel Church Cemetery of Walters; the Rev. Dan E. Gray officiated. Memorial donations may be made to the Isle of Wight Rescue Squad, Isle of Wight, Virginia 23397. Purviance Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
