Doggett Sr., died Tuesday in a nursing home. Mrs. Doggett, a 1916 graduate of Longwood College, taught in Sussex County schools. She was a member of Woodland United Methodist Church and the Ladies Bible Class, which she taught for 25 years. Survivors include two daughters, Brenda D. Garner of Smithfield and Eula Belle D. Drewery of Windsor; two sons, A. Dwight Doggett Sr. and Everett H. Doggett Jr., both of Smithfield; 11 grandchildren; and nine great- grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Colonial Funeral Home by the Rev. Charles Harless. Burial will be in Woodland Church Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be sent to Aimee Blatchford Scholarship Fund or to the Isle of Wight Rescue Squad. ****************************************************************************** Brenda Griffin Doggett Mrs. Brenda Griffin Doggett, 89, of Route 3, died Tuesday, January 10, in Hillcrest Nursing Home, Suffolk. Born in Isle of Wight County, she formerly taught for the Sussex County School System. She was a member of Woodland United Methodist Church, Windsor, where she taught the Ladies Bible Class for 25 years. She was a 1916 graduate of Longwood College. She was the widow of Everett H. Doggett Sr. and the daughter of George Washington and Ida Doyle Griffin. Survivors include two sons, A. Dwight Doggett, Sr., and Everett H. Doggett, Jr., both of Smithfield; two daughters, Mrs. Brenda Doggett Garner, Smithfield, and Mrs. Eula Belle D. Drewery, Windsor; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at Colonial Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 12, with the Rev. Charles Harless officiating. Burial was in Woodland Church Cemetery, Windsor. Pallbearers were E. Henry Doggett, III, A. Dwight Doggett, Jr., Michael Scott Doggett, Peter Frank Crocker, W. Frank Judkins, John R. Moody, John Massey Brock, Jr., and Michael Adams.
