BLANCHE DAUGHTREY 

   A funeral service for Miss Blanche Daughtrey of Rt. 1, Franklin, was held 
Thursday, Sept. 9 at 11 a.m. in Beaver Dam Baptist Church by the Rev. Edwin C. 
Thornton Jr.

   Burial was in Beaver Dam Cemetery with W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home 
in charge.

   Pallbearers were W.J. Winborne, J.E. Rose Jr., A.R. Butler Jr., Lawrence 
Johnson, William H. Cutchin, Jarvis Howell and James W. Thornton.

   A native of Isle of Wight County, she taught in the Isle of Wight public 
schools 45 years.

   She was the daughter of the late Edward Dixon and Mrs. Eva Lee Daughtrey.

   She was a lifetime member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and taught its 
Kingdom Building Class for many years.

   She was a member of Franklin Music Club and Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority.

   Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. E.V. Stephenson Jr. and Mrs. Frank Jones 
of Norfolk and several nieces and nephews.

   In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Beaver Dam Baptist 
Church Building Fund.
