All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ CLAYTON CARLSON DAUGHTREY FRANKLIN - A funeral service for Clayton Carlson Daughtrey, 63, was held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Beaver Dam Baptist Church by the Revs. Richard Peerey and Dr. Hargus Taylor. Burial was in church cemetery with Wright Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were: Roger Butler, Jarvis Howell Jr., Jim Barden, Joe King, C.C. Barden III, Rev. Dare Dillon, James Daughtrey and Roger Barden. Daughtery died Sunday in Norfolk General Hospital. A native of Isle of Wight County, he was the husband of Mrs. Blannie Barden Daughtrey. He was a retired 41 year employee of Union Camp Corp. and a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. He was a deacon, assistant superintendant of Sunday School and member of Carrsville Ruritan. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Rita D. Byrum of Franklin, Mrs. Judy D. Rountree of Smithfield; a brother, William Thomas Daughtrey Jr. of Courtland; and three grandchildren.
