Mr. Madison, pastor, and the Rev. Jesse King, a former pastor. Burial will be in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery. The body was taken to the Hill Funeral Home, Suffolk. Mrs. Dixon, 57, wife of J.C. Dixon of Chuckatuck, died Thursday at 8 a.m. in Sacred Heart Hospital, Philadelphia, Pa., after a long illness. She was a member of Whitehead's Grove Baptist Church. Her late parents were Thad Griggs of Gates County, and Mrs. Annie Holland Griggs of Isle of Wight County. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Ethel Parker of Portsmouth; four sons, Silas Gay of Windsor; B.P. Gay of Portsmouth; Lelton [sic; Littleton] Gay and Homer Gay, both of Nansemond County; four sisters, Mrs. G.W. Edwards and Mrs. Maude Braswell, both of Windsor; Mrs. Bally Gay of Isle of Wight County, and Mrs. Waddie Bassett of South Norfolk; three brothers, Johnny Griggs, of Norfolk; Sidney Griggs and Richard Griggs, both of Windsor, and nieces and nephews. ****************************************************************************** Rites Today For Mrs. Odie Dixon Funeral services for Mrs. Odie Griggs Dixon, who died Thursday will be conducted today at 2 p.m. at Whitehead's Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Burial will be in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** Mrs. Odie Dixon Buried Yesterday Funeral services for Mrs. Odie Griggs Dixon were conducted Sunday afternoon at Whitehead's Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. D.V. Madison, pastor. Burial was in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery. The church choir sang "Rock of Ages" and "In The Sweet Bye and Bye," accompanied at the organ by Miss Brenda Brock. Frank Drewry sang "Sunrise." The casket was covered with a pall of red carnations. Pallbearers were Edward Dixon, Calvin New, Willie G. Edwards, Russell Jay, Floyd Jay, George Robert Jay, Curtis Stanley and C.C. Jay.
