A native of Southampton County and a member of Bethlehem Christian Church, he was a member of the Richie Brittle Sunday school class. He was employed at Planters for 20 years as a painter. The husband of Mrs. Nellie Mae Braswell Holland Dickerson, he was the son of Mrs. Lizzie Mae Bowden Dickerson of Suffolk and the late Richard Harvey Dickerson Sr. Besides his wife he is survived by one step-son, Francis Odell Holland of Windsor; three sisters, Mrs. W.T. Edwards of Windsor, Mrs. Martha H. Hedgepeth of Courtland and Mrs. Nannie Bell Leonard of Zuni; three brothers, Oscar James Dickerson of Chuckatuck, Richard H. Dickerson Jr. of Rushmere and Joseph H. Dickerson of Courtland, and two grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in I.O. Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. Carroll W. Lewis and Dr. R.E. Brittle. Burial will follow in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** CHARLIE M. Brittle. Burial was in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery in Isle of Wight County. Pallbearers were: Earl Dickerson, Bobby Dickerson, Junior Dickerson, David Wells, Johnnie Wells, William T. Edwards, William H.
