Mr. Delk, an Isle of Wight County native, owned Delk’s Grocery. He was a member of Mill Swamp Baptist Church, Ivor. Survivors include his wife, Fannie Gwaltney Delk; three daughters, Charleen D. Ashburn of Suffolk, Betty D. Beaton of Smithfield and Yvonne D. Gilmer of Stephens City; a brother, Howard E. Delk of Smithfield; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Funeral arrangements are pending. Memorial donations may be made to the Isle of Wight Rescue Squad.
