Delk, 70*, formerly of Rushmere, Isle of Wight County, who died Wednesday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. R.C. Dunkum, 1216 Twenty-first Street, Newport News left the Peninsula Funeral Home Thursday at 1 p.m. Services were held in the Rushmere Bay View Methodist Church at 2 p.m. He had been in declining health for the past six years, during which time he had made his home with his daughter in Newport News. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dunkum and Mrs. C.E. Lewis of Newport News, one son, John W. Delk, Baltimore, and a sister, Mrs. Frazer, Rushmere. The following nephews served as active pallbearers: L.T. Frazer, D.W. Ellis, C.R. Delk, S.B. Delk, R.B. Ellis and H.S. Delk.
