Delk, 49, of 321 Columbia Ave., died Sunday in Veterans Administration Medical Center. Born in Windsor, he retired as a bus driver for TRT of Norfolk. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American Legion Post No. 60 of Norfolk and Burrows Memorial Baptist Church of Virginia Beach. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Clare Delk; three daughters, Miss Connie Delk, Miss Michelle Delk and Miss Monica Delk, all of Hampton; three sons, James D. Delk and Ronald L. Delk, both of Hampton and Ricky N. Delk of North Carolina; his stepmother, Mrs. Bainer Delk of Suffolk; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah F. King of Suffolk and Mrs. Barbara Thompson of Chesapeake; and two brothers, Thomas E. Delk of Poquoson and David L. Delk of Norfolk. A funeral will be conducted at 7 tonight in the Lawrence B. Wood Funeral Home by the Rev. Paul Logan of Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends following the funeral until 8:30 tonight.
