WILLIAM DELK 

   Mill Swamp - Funeral services were conducted for William Delk, 71, of Mill 
Swamp Tuesday afternoon, L.E. Holzbach, pastor of the Mill Swamp and Moore’s 
Swamp churches officiating.

   Mr. Delk died Monday June 20 after a prolonged illness.  He is survived by 
his widow and seven children, four of whom are by his first wife.

   He was born of M.H. [sic; M.A.*] Delk in Isle of Wight County and has made 
it his residence his entire life.  He has lived in Mill Swamp community the 
greater part of his life and has engaged in farming.  Throughout his active 
life he made many friends in Isle of Wight and surrounding counties.
