GENE RAYMOND DARDEN 

GENE RAYMOND DARDEN BURIED DECEMBER 29TH 

  Funeral services for Gene Raymond Darden, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. M.W. 
Darden, Jr. of Isle of Wight County, who died Tuesday night, December 28th, 
of pneumonia at the home of his parents, were conducted at 4 p.m. December 
29th at the grave in Cedar Hill Cemetery with Dr. John G. Truitt officiating.

  Besides his parents, he is survived by a sister, Carolyn Dolores Darden; a 
brother, William Ivan Darden; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. S.P. Pierce [sic; 
Price*], and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M.W. Darden, Sr., of Isle of 
Wight County.

b. 12 Oct 1948, Suffolk, d. 28 Dec 1948, at home, Isle of Wight Co.,

Birthdate &c. from D.Cert. #27924 (Windsor Dist. #12); 
   his mother's maiden name is overwritten; her first name is written Lola. 

His parent's marriage record (22 Nov 1930, Suffolk {IoW lic.}) gives her as 
   Lula Mae Price, b. Appomattox Co., dt/o S.P. [Samuel] & Ada Lee (Davis)

Gene's maternal grandparents are buried in Cedar Hill also; 
   a photo of their monument is posted with their Find a Grave Memorials,
