ELLA ELIZABETH ELEY DREWRY

   Mrs. Ella Elizabeth Eley Drewry, 76, well-known resident of the Walters 
community, died early Sunday morning, June 29, after an illness of many months.

   The deceased was the wife of Charlie Jesse Drewry of Walters, and the 
daughter of the late James Edward and Mrs. Sarah Whitfield Eley of Isle of 
Wight County.  She was a member of Mt. Carmel Congregational Christian Church.

   Besides her husband she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Raleigh Ellis 
and Mrs. S.D. Richards of Suffolk, Mrs. Martha Cox of Walters, and Mrs. T.W. 
Zimmer of New York City; 20 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and one 
brother, George F. Eley of Petersburg.

   Funeral rites were conducted in the chapel of W.J.M. Holland & Sons on 
Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock by Rev. Jack Boyles.  The burial was in Mt. 
Carmel Cemetery.
