L. Gatling. Burial was in the church cemetery. He died Monday in his home. A native of Southampton County, he was the husband of Mrs. Doris Barrett Drewry. He was a farmer and a trucker. He was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church and an Army veteran of World War II. Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Teresa Gresham of Branchville, and Miss Deborah Drewry and Miss Earlene Drewry of Zuni; three sisters, Miss Martha Drewry of Riviera Beach, Fla., Mrs. Elsie Beasley of Charlottesville and Mrs. Nell Pittman of Ivor; a brother, George Drewry of Suffolk; and a granddaughter.
