[sic; J.] EVERETT IS BURIED IN ST. LUKE'S Funeral services for John J. Everett, who died Tuesday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W.H. Reid of Carrollton, Va. were held Wednesday afternoon at the home by Rev. Mr. Williams of Portsmouth, Va. Burial was in the Old Brick Church Cemetery near Smithfield. Mr. Everett was 82 years, 12 months and 21 days of age. He leaves a widow, Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Everett, nine children, seven sons and two daughters: namely Walter H. Everett, George W. Everett of Newport News, Charles L. Everett and Robert L. Everett of Norfolk, Va.; J. Wesley Everett of Orbit, Va., H.M. Everett of Carrollton, Va. and James A. Everett of Smithfield, Mrs. Richard Munford of Berkley, Va. and Mrs. W.H. Reid of Carrollton, Va. Active pallbearers were grandsons; James Everett, Jr., John E. Everett, Willie Bridger, Alex Bridger, Charlie Munford and Leonard Everett. Honorary pallbearers were friends of the family. John J.
