Edwards WINDSOR - Funeral services for Charlie Putman Edwards will be conducted Friday at 3 p.m. at Antioch Christian Church by the Rev. G.C. Crutchfield, pastor and the Rev. R.E. Brittle, pastor of Bethlehem Christian Church. Burial will be in Antioch Christian Church cemetery. The body will be taken from the W.J.M. Holland Funeral Home in Franklin Friday at 12 o'clock noon to the church to lie in state two hours prior to the funeral services. Mr. Edwards, 81, well-known farmer of the Windsor Community, died early Wednesday at this home after a short illness. ****************************************************************************** C. P. Edwards, 81, Of Windsor, Va. Buried Feb. 13th Charlie Putnam Edwards, 81, well-known farmer of the Windsor community died February 11th at his home after a brief illness. He was the son of John Robert and Mrs. Rebecca Ann Horne Edwards of Isle of Wight County, and a member of the Antioch Christian Church and its Men's Bible Class. Surviving him are one sister, Miss Anne Betty Edwards of Windsor, five nieces and five nephews. The body was taken to the W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home in Franklin and on Friday at noon was taken to the Antioch Christian Church two hours prior to services. Funeral services were conducted at Antioch Christian Church Friday at 3 P.M. by the Rev. G.C. Crutchfield, pastor, and the Rev. R.E. Brittle, pastor of Bethlehem Christian Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
