CHARLES H. EDWARDS 

C.H. EDWARDS FUNERAL TODAY 

  C.H. Edwards, 74, prominent citizen of Isle of Wight County, died at his 
home in Smithfield December 13th at 2:34 a.m. after a lingering illness of 
three years.

  He is survived by his wife, Sarah T. and six children - three daughters, 
Mrs. C.P. Scott, Mrs. C.A. Gwaltney of Smithfield and Mrs. C.W. Reynolds 
of Newport News; three sons, Fletcher G., Robert and Marcus Edwards of 
Smithfield; five grandchildren.

  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 14th, at 2:30 p.m. at 
Whitehead's Grove Cemetery.

  Active pallbearers will be Vincent Joyner, J.C. Dunn, J.H. Thacker, 
George W. Delk, W.H. Chapman and N.G. Norfleet.

  Honorary pallbearers will be G.N. Guy, Frank Garner, Dr. T.H. Massey, 
Fletcher Hearn, A.F. Jester, Allen Felts, W.K. Wagner, Jim Morris, E.H. 
Scott, E.E. Wagner, L.H. Norfleet.
