Edwards, 68, Of Windsor Buried Sunday William Jonathan [sic; Jonah] Edwards, 68, of the Winsdor Community, died Friday night, November 28th, at Louise Obici Memorial Hospital after an illness of many months. He was the son of the late John Robert and Mrs. Rebecca Anne Horne Edwards, of Isle of Wight County. He was a member of Antioch Christian Church, where he served for many years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Chloe Clements Edwards, of Windsor; one son, William J. Edwards, Jr., of Windsor; four daughters, Mrs. J.A. Yetman, and Mrs. T.M. Poole, both of Norfolk, Mrs. A.E. Norfleet Jr. of Suffolk, and Mrs. J.T. Rountree, of Whaleyville; six grandchildren; two brothers, J.L. and C.P. Edwards, both of Windsor; a sister, Miss Annie B. Edwards, of Windsor, and a number of nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home, in Franklin, and on Sunday at 1 P.M. was taken to Antioch Church. Funeral services were held at 2:30 P.M. Sunday with the Rev. Ellis Clarke [sic; Clark], pastor, and the Rev. T. Fred Wright, officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. ****************************************************************************** WILLIAM JONATHAN [sic; JONAH] EDWARDS William Jonathan Edwards, 68, a resident of the Windsor community, died in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk, on Friday night, November 28, after an illness of several months duration. A member of Antioch Christian Church, Mr. Edwards was the son of the late John Robert and Rebecca Anne Horne Edwards of Isle of Wight County. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Chloe Clements Edwards of Windsor; one son, William J. Edwards, Jr. of Windsor; four daughters, Mrs. J.A. Yetman and Mrs. T.M. Poole, both of Norfolk, Mrs. A.E. Norfleet, Jr., of Suffolk, and Mrs. J.T. Rountree of Whaleyville; six grandchildren; two brothers, J.L. and C.P. Edwards, both of Windsor; and one sister, Mrs. Annie B. Edwards, also of Windsor. Funeral services for Mr. Edwards were conducted at Antioch Christian Church on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by the pastor, Rev. Ellis Clark, and Rev. T. Fred Wright. Interment was in the church cemetery.
