Edwards Madeline Sandlin Edwards, 88, a resident of Tandem Healthcare, and formerly of 25385 Old Mill Rd., Windsor, died Thursday, April 11 in Obici Hospital. The graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery by the Rev. Basil L. "Buzz" Ballard. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of Windsor Christian Church immediately following the graveside service. Harrell and Hill Funeral Home is serving the family. ****************************************************************************** Madeline S. Edwards WINDSOR - Madeline Sandlin Edwards, 88, formerly of 25385 Old Mill Road, and a present resident of Tandem Healthcare, died April 11, 2002, at Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. A native of Augusta, Ga., she was raised in Franklin, Va. She was the daughter of the late Joseph F. Sandlin and Rosa Davis Sandlin. She was also predeceased by her husband, George Robert Edwards Sr.; a son, G.R. "Bobby" Edwards Jr.; a sister, Frances S. Eley; and a brother, Bob Sandlin. She retired as a supervisor for Planters. She was a member of Windsor Congregational Christian Church for more than 60 years, and the Young at Heart Club, Windsor. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara E. and Wayne Duck of Ark, Va., and Ida E. and Doug Hollowell of Tyner, N.C.; son and daughter-in- law, Freddy M. and Jean Edwards of Windsor ; daughter-in-law, Marjorie H. Edwards of Windsor ; 12 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dora S. Laney of Hampton and Louise S. Kinney of Lumberton, N.C.; and a brother, Joe E. Sandlin of Lumberton. A graveside service will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at Antioch Christian Church Cemetery by the Rev. Basil L. "Buzz" Ballard. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service in the fellowship hall of Windsor Christian Church. Harrell & Hill Funeral Home is serving the family.
