SARAH T. EDWARDS 

MRS. C.H. EDWARDS OF SMITHFIELD WAS BURIED ON FRIDAY 

  Funeral services of Mrs. C.H. Edwards, 78, native of Isle of Wight County, 
who died at her home in Smithfield Wednesday night, May 12th, were held Friday 
afternoon.

  Mrs. Edwards had been confined to her bed for approximately six years.

  The funeral procession left the residence at 2:30 and services were held at 
the grave in Whitehead's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery at 3 o'clock, conducted 
by Dr. J.C. Sinclair, Pastor of the Smithfield Methodist Church, and Rev. E.W. 
Rawlings, Pastor of the Isle of Wight Methodist charge.

  The funeral was largely attended and there were many beautiful floral 
tributes.

  The deceased is survived by 3 sons; F.G. Edwards, R.R. Edwards and Marcus 
Edwards of Smithfield; three daughters: Mrs. C.W. Reynolds, of Newport News, 
Mrs. Sallie Scott and Mrs. Clyde Gwaltney of Smithfield.
