Mrs. Eley, a Suffolk native, was a member of Whitehead’s Grove Baptist Church and the widow of William R. Eley Sr. Survivors include three daughters, Peggy E. Ross and Gladys E. Pohl, both of Smithfield, and Mary C. Foster of Windsor; two sons, William R. Richardson Jr. and Frederick N. Eley, both of Carrollton; a brother, Richard Nelms of Suffolk; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Suffolk, by the Revs. Russell Leonard and Tom Potter. The family will be at Colonial Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Margaret (NELMS; Mrs. William R.
