SARAH E. WHITFIELD ELEY

   Mrs. Sarah Eley, widow* of the late Jas. W.E. Eley, died at her home near 
Mt. Carmel, Isle of Wight County, August 8, in her 75th year.  She is survived 
by two sons, B.W. and G.F. Eley; two daughters, Mrs. J.T. Carr and Mrs. C.J. 
Drewry; nine grandchildren and was a sister of J.P. Whitfield, whose death 
occurred July 10, 1916.  She was a consistent member of Beaver Dam Baptist 
church and was known and esteemed as a good, Christian woman.  In the absence 
of her pastor, the funeral was conducted Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock by 
Dr. C.H. Rowland of Franklin.

Sarah's sis Martha Eliza m. a different James ELEY.
