WILLIAM H. ELEY

   Windsor, May 27 - W.H. Eley, prominent citizen of Isle of Wight County, 
living near Windsor, died this morning, after a long illness, aged 75 years. 
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Sarah Johnson, one daughter, Mrs. Sherman 
M. Roberts of Windsor, and a granddaughter, Miss Virginia Roberts.

   He was a member of Western Branch Baptist Church and had served as a 
deacon, and in other offices in the church.

   He was prominently connected throughout his section and was engaged in 
farming.

   Funeral services will be conducted at Western Branch Baptist Church Monday 
afternoon, May 29, at 3:30 o'clock by the pastor, the Rev. J. Sidney Cobb, 
assisted by the Rev. E.B. White and the Rev. Mr. Wallace.  Interment will be 
made in the church cemetery.
