ELLIS Windsor -- William Esmond Ellis, 68, a resident of RFD 1, Windsor, died Saturday night in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. A native of Nansemond County, he was the husband of Mrs. Florie Darden Ellis and a son of the late William Thomas and Mrs. Mollie Miles Ellis of Nansemond County. He was a member of Colosse Baptist Church, the Men's Bible Class of the church, and the Woodman of the World. Besides his wife, surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Jack W. Outland of Virginia Beach; one son, Robert Earl Ellis of Windsor; one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Bradshaw of Suffolk; and five grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in I.O. Hill & Company Funeral Home by the Rev. Joseph L. McTeer. Burial will be in Colosse Baptist Church cemetery.
