Ellis, 58, prominent farmer of Isle of Wight County, died Wednesday at 11:40 a.m. at his home in the county. He was the son of the late Junius Ellis and Nancy B. Ellis, and is survived by three children; John Robert Ellis, Ella Blanche Ellis and Marie Pond Ellis, all of Isle of Wight; two grandchildren; four sisters; Mrs. Tiny Vellines and Mrs. J.D. Nurney, of Isle of Wight; Miss Sarah Ellis and Mrs. Thomas Stancil of Wilson, N.C., and one brother Webster Ellis of Newport News. Funeral services were held at Bethany Cemetery near Smithfield Friday at 2 p.m. John E.
