English of Walters died at his home in Isle of Wight County March 2, in the 53rd year of his life. He is survived by two daughters, Misses Janie and Thelma English, and one son, Stanley English, all of Walters; three brothers, J.H. English of Walters, W.N. English of Windsor, and S.J. English of Norfolk, and four sisters, Mrs. Mattie Frazier and Mrs. Linwood Howell of Walters, Mrs. W.J. Bradshaw of Victoria and Mrs. W.E. Gilmore of Norfolk. His wife preceded him in death a little more than one year ago. He had been a member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church since boyhood, and funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon, March 4, at 2 o'clock by Rev. D.W. Harwood of Windsor, Va. The body bearers were: R.W. Raiford, J.W. Carr, R.R. Rose, J.A. Carr, W.T. Cox, C.E. Carr, M.C. Bowden and Julian Carr. The honorary bearers were member of the Junior Order of American Mechanics.
