FULGHAM Burton Washington Fulgham, 60, died Saturday morning at 1:30 o’clock at his home in Smithfield. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Emma Florence Fulgham; 4 brothers, Tony Fulgham of Norfolk; James Fulgham of Carrollton, Cleveland Fulgham of Philadelphia and Jesse Fulgham of Newport News. Funeral services were conducted at Smithfield Baptist Church on Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock by the Rev. L.F. Paulette, and the Rev. H.S. Southgate. The deceased was a member of the Smithfield Baptist Church. The Baracca Sunday School Class and Odd Fellows. Members of the organizations to which he belonged served as pallbearers. Burial was in Uzzell’s Church cemetery. Burton Washington FULGHAM, d. 25 Mar 1939, at home, Smithfield, age 60, interred in Uzzell’s Methodist Church Cemetery*, 26 Mar 1939, "The Smithfield (VA) Times," Thurs., Mar. 30, 1939, p. 1, col. 2 *His parents, Mills Lewis & Sarah Elizabeth (HOLLAND) FULGHAM, are also buried there.
