Mrs. Fulgham was a native of Surry County. She was a member of Windsor Christian Church, Women's Fellowship Circle #1, Martha S. Persons Bible Class, and Young at Heart Club. She was a graduate of Longwood College and a former school teacher. Mrs. Fulgham was the widow of the late Charles Elden Fulgham and the daughter of the late Martha T. Barham and Joseph Crawley Maynard. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Cecil W. Gwaltney Sr. of Smithfield, Sarah M. Howle of Yorktown, and Rebecca M. Gwaltney of Waveriy; two brothers, Lawrence C. Maynard of Newport News and Joseph P. Maynard of Portsmouth; one niece, Anne G. Scarborough of Dinwiddie and other nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday, July 30, in Colonial Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Walker officiating. Burial was in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Robert C. Claud, Richard J. Holland, Franklin Spivey, Dr. William M. Fulgham, McClenny Saunders and Raymond Johnson Jr. Colonial Funeral Home handled arrangements. Fannie Belle (MAYNARD; Mrs. Charles E.)
