He was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Archie Byrd Fowler and Elizabeth Vaughan Fowler of Isle of Wight County. Surviving him are a son, Wilbur R. Fowler of Fayette City, Pa.; a daughter, Mrs. Johnnie Bradshaw of Walters; and 10 grandchildren and 17 great- grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Fowler were conducted in the chapel of W.J.M. Holland & Sons on Monday afternoon at 4 o’clock by Rev. Edwin C. Thornton, pastor of Beaver Dam Baptist Church, and Rev. Ellis Clark, pastor of Mt. Carmel Christian Church. A quartet from Colosse sang. Interment was in the Beaver Dam Church Cemetery. Acting as pallbearers were Julian Carr, Lonnie [...*] Daughtrey, Harvey Duke, Joseph Fowler, Johnnie Stephens and Reginald Vaughan. There is a line running through the print at the top and middle of many of the papers and it effected many of the obits. I've put elipses for the part that's missing.
