FOWLER Suffolk, Nov. 14. - Q.W. Fowler, 70, prominent resident of Isle of Wight County, died at his home Thursday night at 11 o'clock. He is survived by a widow, Mrs. Mamie Virginia Fowler; four sons, Hersey, William, Norfleet and Joseph Fowler; two daughters, Mrs. J.F. Whitley, of Newport News, and Mrs. J.J. McGehee [sic; Magee], of Franklin, and 21 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Beaver Dam Baptist Church Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by the Rev. Dr. R.D. Stephenson, of Franklin, and the Rev. W.B. Denson, pastor of Beaver Dam Church. Burial will be in the family cemetery in Isle of Wight county. Quinton Wise FOWLER, retired farmer, b. No D.Cert. found Birthdate from the 1900 Census - Windsor Dist., Isle of Wight Co. He was the son of Archibald & Eliabeth FOWLER. He m. "Nannie" Nancy Virginia NORFLEET, daughter of James & Margaret (VAUGHAN) NORFLEET. Nannie, b. 14 Apr 1859, d. 25 Oct 1932, was buried 26 Oct 1932, near Franklin. (D.Cert. 22688 {Windsor #20}) They appeared in the 1920 Census - Holy Neck Dist., Nansemond Co. - on rented General Farm #255. They appeared in the 1930 Census in Windsor Dist., Isle of Wight Co. Most of their children are buried in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin - Annex 2. Lizzie WHITLEY & Joseph are buried in Plot 53, Margaret Irma MAGEE in Plot 54; Jas. Norfleet in Plot 57; Hersey in Plot 175.
