Gay, died Saturday at her home. A native of Isle of Wight County, she was the daughter of Jordan J. and Mrs. Henrietta Spivey Turner. Surviving are five daughters Mrs. Vernie G. Beale and Mrs. William Vasser, both of Windsor, Mrs. J. Louis Umphlett and Mrs. Clifton Hedgepeth, both of Zuni, and Mrs. Roy Pippins of Suffolk; a son, Raymond A. Gay of Suffolk; two sisters, Mrs. K.B. Rhodes of Windsor and Mrs. Carlton Outland of Carrsville; 22 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Colosse Baptist Church by the Rev. J.L. McTeer and the Rev. James Hughes. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be taken from the Purviance Funeral Home in Wakefield to the church at 1 p.m. Tuesday. [Dora (TURNER; Mrs. William A.)
